This is me. I'm a full-time working mother of a 9-year old boy in my mid-40's, living just south of Denver, Colorado with my family in a beautiful old horse ranching town.

I have been an avid student of holistic health and nutrition for over 28 years. I have worked with hundreds of clients to improve their health and well-being as a health educator and professional massage therapist. I am now helping people regain their youthful vitality and reach their ideal weight through the Metabolic Balance® program as a full-time nutrition and weight loss coach.

My story, or parts of it at least, may sound familiar to many women and mothers

out there. About 3 years before starting my Metabolic Balance journey, I went through some major life changes. I was blessed with a wonderful new relationship in a new town, but found myself in a diet conundrum while merging households - as my fiance, my son and I all had woefully different eating preferences. In order to get food on the table, I did what I believe a lot of mothers do - I "took one for the team" and began eating foods that were not right for my body.

These lifestyle changes were ill-timed as I was also entering my peri-menopause years, and as I would quickly learn, taking weight off was no longer any easy task! I felt I was gaining weight far more quickly than was logical for my diet, and was now faced with crushing fatigue and a shiny new osteoarthritis diagnosis. 35 extra pounds into this quandary, I knew I had to get my health back on track, but nothing I tried was working at all. Because I had always enjoyed great health and energy to spare up to this point, I was beside myself - I felt totally out of character in my own skin. While I was never the "skinny girl," I always had a small waist - and this lower belly pooch that seemed to spring out of nowhere was just awful. I didn't recognize myself. Worst of all, I felt I had aged 20 years instead of 3.

 

Originally from Northern California, I have been immersed in the concepts of health consciousness, organic "whole foods" nutrition, longevity, and holistic health my entire life. I have always known that our food is our medicine, first and foremost - so I knew I had to radically change my diet in order to make a lasting change. But because there seemed to be so much logic, research, confidence and even doctor's endorsements behind each of the diet plans out there, having more knowledge did not help me - in fact, it just created more confusion as to which path I should really be on.

​As soon as I learned about this revolutionary program, I knew beyond any shadow of a doubt that I had finally landed on The Truth. You see, as any truly holistic practitioner will tell you, there is NO one-size-fits-all approach to health or nutrition. We are all 100% unique due to our ancestry, our body shape or "type," blood type, allergies and intolerances, the foods we were raised on and the foods we eat today, the way we digest carbohydrates vs. proteins, our lifestyle, mental health, circumstances, stress levels and activity levels. We have varying levels of inflammation in our bodies leading to unique health needs and challenges. As such, the root cause of what leads to weight disturbances or disease in one person is never identical to another person. Due to our bio-individuality, what we need is a "differential diagnosis" - because the very foods and medicines which help one person often fail to help another, and in the worst case can even harm them. And while there are certainly MANY "universal truths" that would help bring all of us into far better health (eating a clean/organic/whole foods diet, more vegetables, less sugar, less alcohol, drinking more water, sleeping enough hours, getting enough sunlight, regular exercise) - many of us are being sabotaged by the very foods we deem healthy in ways that make those goals feel unattainable. Until you know exactly what YOUR body needs - and as importantly, what it DOESN'T - your health goals will remain out of reach.

I am passionate about sharing Metabolic Balance® with my friends, family and clients because it has genuinely, and RAPIDLY, changed my entire life for the better. Yes, there are several ways to manage weight in the short-term, but no program has been proven to have anywhere close to Metabolic Balance®'s long-term success - and more importantly, this program is one of the best anti-aging methods available on earth. Within 1 week of starting I lost 7 pounds. I could no longer feel my arthritis and no longer needed my 2 trusty herbal hormone-balancing herbal supplements. I now have TONS of energy (if this long page isn't proof!), yet I sleep like a log at night.  I feel as well as I did a decade ago, and I am now thriving on every level. I'm thrilled to report that I lost 32 pounds in time for my wedding (just 2.5 months into the program!) and reached my goal of 35 pounds shortly thereafter.  Now that I've dropped all of this weight through diet alone, I am onto my next goal - toning and strengthening. I am thrilled to share my progress with you, just as I can't wait to share in your successes with you! We are in this together, and I will be the "loudest voice on the sidelines" cheering you on.

Here are my before and after shots in my wedding dress. Yes, I was blonde for a while... that's really me! I lost 32 lbs between my start date of 7/15 and my wedding on 10/21. I thought my dress would fit perfectly so I didn't take it in - and it was falling off me!!! I lost 3 dress sizes instead of the anticipated 2! Most importantly, I felt absolutely amazing that day, from beginning to end. Thank you Metabolic Balance for truly changing my life for the better, in every way!!
